TRANSLOG Connect Congress 2022
- TRANSLOG Connect Congress 2022 -
GoRamp and Agroveco won the 9th CEE Logistics & SCM Excellence Award
.
Hundreds of industry leaders and logistics professionals gathered in TRANSLOG Connect this year yet again, as the program, topics, and solutions triggered record close number of participants to enjoy face to face events again following the “Covid years”.
Coming off a complicated 2020-2021 period, the 2022 year has also presented several challenges worldwide, from supply chain disruptions, to environmental sustainability, inflation, energy prices, war, etc., so it was critical again for supply chain professionals to find new solutions and answers to their most pressing business challenges, as well as to share their recent experience. The business forum – aiming to develop pan-European business relations – focused on lessons learned over the past years, a time when flexibility and the ability to adapt to sudden changes and to occasional shortages or disruptions have become hugely important priorities in logistics and supply chain along with digitalization, and the reduction of carbon footprint.
Thanks to presentations and case studies, locally- and internationally-operational CEE companies had the opportunity to benchmark and share their prognoses for the future, especially in the light of developments which have recently changed working methods and logistical processes.
Among others, Beiersdorf, IKEA, Euronics, Notino, Howden, Studio Moderna, and Samung offered their insights into a myriad of topics from Managing supply disruptions to Route to Net-Zero Emission, Digital Transformation in Supply Chain Management, or Transport Verification / Validation. By doing so, they have inspired and supported the CEE industry as a whole. This year, taking into account the importance of supply chain challenges these days in general, and the specifics of pharma supply chain in particular, TRANSLOG also had a dedicated pharma supply chain stream running beside the well-established, main program of the event, with presentations from household names such as Novartis, Takeda or Kedrion Biopharma for example.
.
Recognising Excellence in the CEE Region
For the ninth time, the Central and Eastern European Logistics and Supply Chain Excellence Award was presented during TRANSLOG. The aim of the award is not only to celebrate excellence in logistics, but to encourage professionals to constantly raise standards and to innovate in logistics and supply chain management, contributing to the development of CEE as a region.
The winner of the solution provider category this year was GoRamp, with their Project titled “Less Complexity, More Efficiency” developed together with Schoeller Alibert. The project is a great example of cooperation of one of the world’s largest manufacturers of returnable plastic packaging and a medium sized Software Developer from Lithuania.
The manufacturer, like many companies suffered from inefficient distribution operations & poor visibility as well as congestions of trucks on the side. The solution was a cloud-based Warehouse Management Software, designed for shippers to source, plan and monitor freight logistics. One convenient tool covers real-time shipment planning to multiple destinations, communication with carriers and stakeholders, dock scheduling, warehouse and yard management, KPIs tracking. The tool saves transportation costs, carrier sourcing time and improved tremendously the operational work.
Agroveco from Spain, the winner of the manufacturer category is a small and mediums size company that has conquered international markets that used innovation in Supply Chain Management to differentiate. They invented and implemented a revolutionary technique for packaging that allows postponement (to define the country at the latest possible point). The technology is a combination of vacuum and printing technologies. It allows the company to remove the whole air from a bag, as well as printing the reference details, language and importer details on the same bag once at the same time when it is being packed. The name of the winning project is Differentiation on the Supply Chain: Innovative Vacuum System Bags.
.
Extended range of solution providers
TRANSLOG is also a renowned match-maker of end users and suppliers. From freight forwarding and transportation services through to warehousing and warehouse management systems and to intralogistics, packaging solutions and pallets, one can find nearly every solution related to logistics and supply chain management among the exhibitors. Making the networking procedure even more effective, the Meeting Scheduler platform enabled delegates to liaise in advance of the event with leading solution providers from huge names to SME-s such as:
MAERSK • cargo partner • Honeywell • QLM • C.H.Robinson • DSV • CEVA • Tive • GoRamp • TEU • DB Group • World Media Trans • Intereuropa • SOTI • project44 • Pallet Solution
Based on feedback received, the above mentioned programmes and presentations massively contribute to the regional implementation of innovative logistics solutions as well as to strengthening supplier relations, and therefore help make TRANSLOG, the highest-quality annual networking and thought-leadership forum in the region.
With its future-orientated topics and audience, the event seeks to create an inspiring, live environment for supply chain enthusiasts and professionals to discuss the solutions, challenges, and responsibilities companies face in logistics and supply chain management, and welcomes every industry member to network and benchmark through influential keynote talks, engaging panel discussions, networking lunches, as well as pre-scheduled and pre-qualified meetings.
