- TRANSLOG Connect Congress 2021 -
SupplyStack and Atlantic Grupa won the 8th CEE Logistics & SCM Excellence Award
After a long wait, finally, live business events have returned, much to the delight of the audience who have been looking for the opportunity to conduct high-level business discussions in person again. Hundreds of industry leaders and logistics professionals took part in TRANSLOG Connect this year to find new solutions and answers to their most pressing business challenges, as well as to share their recent experience under Covid times. The business forum – aiming to develop pan-European business relations – focused on lessons learned over the past two years, a time when flexibility and the ability to adapt to sudden changes and to occasional shortages or disruptions have become hugely important priorities in logistics and supply chain.
Thanks to presentations and case studies, locally- and internationally-operational CEE companies had the opportunity to benchmark and share their prognoses for the future, especially in the light of developments which have recently changed working methods and logistical processes.
Among others, Mercedes-Benz, Atlantic Grupa, Beiersdorf, SupplyStack, project44, Agroveco and Jabil offered their insights into a myriad of topics from managing supply disruptions and supplier-relation management to employee engagement during lockdown periods, for example. By doing so, they have inspired and supported the CEE industry as a whole.
Recognising Excellence in the CEE Region
For the eighth time, the Central and Eastern European Logistics and Supply Chain Excellence Award was presented during TRANSLOG. The aim of the award is not only to celebrate excellence in logistics, but to encourage professionals to constantly raise standards and to innovate in logistics and supply chain management, contributing to the development of CEE as a region.
The winner of the solution provider category this year was SupplyStack, with their project developed together with Sony. The project, named ‘End-to-End Supply Chain Visibility Using Real-Time TMS’ is an innovative transport management system which not only continuously streams data but also enriches the TMS with contextual information and introduces a whole new level of automation where events trigger workflows, alerts and updates. The customer receives all the information in real-time.
Atlantic Grupa from Croatia, one of the biggest producers and distributors in the CEE region, won the manufacturer’s category award. Their project, entitled ‘The Road to 100% visible and flexible SCM with Digital Agenda Council’ convinced the jury with the consequent implementation of a digital supply chain strategy and quick start with measures such as:
Voice picking, Cycle counting and Digital Shipment as well as the success of digitalisation projects such as: Layout optimization, YARD management, 3PL readiness, Robotic Process Automation (part of MDM), and AMR in Warehouse operations. The application also mentions the next steps for an integrated business planning and predictive operation.
