Stefan Putzlocher, Director Logistics, Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary Kft. 

 

Stefan Putzlocher graduated in micro and precision engineering at the Georg-Simon-Ohm Fachhochschule Nuernberg, Germany and started his career at Mercedes-Benz in 1994 within the Mercedes-Benz Graduate Programme. Later he gained experience in several logistics projects at the Sindelfingen plant in Germany. In 2000 he was appointed as Manager Supply Chain Management before he moved to McLaren Cars Ltd. in the UK in 2003 as Logistics Manager. Later he was promoted to Head of Purchasing and Logistics at the HighPerformanceEngines Ltd., UK which is producing the Mercedes-Benz Formula 1 race car engines for Team McLaren Mercedes. There he was overlooking Purchasing, Product Data & Engineering Change Management, Materials Control, Stores and Transport & Trackside Logistics Support. In 2007 Stefan Putzlocher returned to Sindelfingen as the Head of Logistics Planning/ Industrial Engineering managing the department, including Logistics Series Planning for S-, E-, C-Class, Supply Chain Planning, Workforce Calculation and Efficiency Controlling for Logistics Operations (1.700 direct & 450 indirect staff), running of all operational IT-systems for goods receipt, warehousing, line feeding and delivery call-offs.

In December 2008 he was promoted to Head of Quality Management and Logistics at the Mercedes-Benz Kecskemét Plant in Hungary. There he was building up and leading the Quality Management and Logistics Operations with a planned 800 staff members in both functions by 2011. Since March 2010 Stefan Putzlocher has held his current position as Director Logistics at  Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary Kft. In 2002 he was appointed to the Advisory Board of the Masters-Programme “Executive MBA in International SCM” offered by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, Switzerland.

 

Rogier van Zon, Head of Global Warehousing and Distribution TP Vision, Philips

Rogier van Zon holds a master’s degree in general management from ‘Nyenrode business universiteit’ in The Netherlands. He started his career holding several management positions in a private owned logistics company. His responsibilities have covered, account management, quality management operational, and site management.

7 years ago he started his career at Philips with the responsibility for factory distribution Europe within the sector Lighting. Over the past years he has also held the positions, Distribution manager Western Europe and Distribution director Eastern Europe & Mid East and Africa where the last position was held at corporate level covering the sectors Lighting and Lifestyle.

As per April 1st 2012 he joined TP Vision as head of global warehousing and distribution. TP Vision is the joint venture between TPV (70%) and Philips (30%) where Philips has brought under its television business.

 

Dr.  Johann Seif, Vice President International Planning and Logistics, Henkel

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Johann Seif graduated in Chemical Engineering at the Technical University of Vienna in 1985 and received his PhD in 1987. Following his studies he developed his professional career within Henkel holding positions such as Production Manager at sites in Germany, Austria and Slovakia. Furthermore he was the Head of Material and Production Management CEE for four years before he became the head of Material Management for Cosmetics Global and the Head of Global Supply Chain Laundry & Home Care. Dr. Johann Seif holds his current position as Executive Vice President Supply Chain Henkel CEE as of 2002 overlooking 32 countries in CEE and Central Asia.

 

László Lovassy, Logistics Manager Europe, Chevrolet

László Lovassy, graduated 1988 in Mechanical Engineering at Technical University in Timisoara. Since then he is working in Automotive Industry, first as  a product development engineer at Csepel Autógyár in Hungary until 1992, then in private sector, as the owner and Managing Director of a car Export-Import company in Budapest.

He has been involved in Automotive Logistics since 1999, firstly as Logistics Manager of Daewoo Motor Hungary , then in 2002 becoming Marketing Service Manager of GM Daewoo Central and Easter Europe, with major task of  creating and operating logistics network for vehicle sales in Central and Eastern Europe, including Turkey, Russia and CIS countries.

As of 2004 his been part of GM Europe Logistics team in Rüsselsheim, responsible for Chevrolet Vehicle Logistics activities all over Europe  and „Supply Chain East” projects of General Motors in Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and CIS.

In 2009 he was appointed Logistics Manager of Chevrolet Europe, with headquarter in Zürich,  leading Chevrolet and Cadillac Europe vehicle logistics activities.

 

Miguel Suarez, Director of Supply Chain Centre of Business Excellence, Swarovski


Miguel Suarez, graduated 1989 as Industrial Engineer in Spain and 1991 as M.B.A. in U.K.  Born in Peru, after several stages in different European and Latin-American cities, he currently lives in Liechtenstein.

In the last 20 years, he has hold SCM positions both as industry manager in Union Fenosa (Spain) and ITT Flygt (Sweden) as well as a strategy consultant in Accenture (Germany) and Miebach Logistics (Mexico), developing and implementing supply chain solutions for international corporations in different industrial sectors.

From 2007, Miguel Suarez became Supply Chain Director at KOTÁNYI, an Austrian spice maker, based in Wolkersdorf by Vienna, responsible for KOTÁNYI operations in CEE, SEE, Russia and Turkey. In this function, he won the 2010 Austrian Logistics Award for the most innovative Supply Chain.

Since September 2012 Miguel Suarez is working in his current position as Director of Supply Chain Centre of Business Excellence at Swarovski in Liechtenstein. 

 

Zoltán Gábor, General Manager, Site & Operations, GE Healthcare

 

Zoltán Gábor graduated from the Faculty for Mathematics and Informatics at Babes Bolyai University Romania in 1993. He completed his postgraduate studies in Economics and Applied Logistics at Budapest’s Corvinus University in 2000. In 1993 he joined GE Lighting Budapest as a logistics trainee and inventory planner. In 1995 Zoltán Gábor became the supply chain manager, responsible for PSI and OTR. In 1998 and 1999 he worked in the Netherlands, being responsible for distribution and quality management at GE Plastics in Bergen op Zoom and in 2001 he became the transfer project leader at GE Medical Systems in Buc, France. There he managed development and transfer projects coming to Hungary from all over the world. Coming back to Hungary he led a major greenfield investment, building up from zero a complete new factory and raising it to a world-class standard. Zoltán Gábor has held his current position as general manager responsible for site and operations at GE Healthcare since 2003. There he is responsible for the systematic development and standardization of the main operational processes, manufacturing methodology and strategies as well as the whole supply chain with the aim of improving efficiency and costs. Zoltán Gábor is also actively involved in corporate social responsibility in his role as president of the group ‘GE Volunteers in Hungary’.

 

László Urbányi, General Manager, Rába Components Manufacturing Ltd. & Managing Director, Fehrer Rába Automotive Ltd.

 

 

 

 

 

László Urbányi received his degree in mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Budapest in 1990. He later went on to complete his degree as an engineer economist in 1993 and his MBA in 2003 with a focus on management, production and quality management. He started his career at Csepel F+K Machine-tool Production Co. in 1990 and moved on to GE Lighting in 1992 where he held several management positions including Material Manager, Deputy Production Manager, Transfer Manager and Manager of Shop Operation. In 1998 he joined Thomas&Betts where as Managing Director and Plant Manager he set up their second plant and implemented the QS 9000 and ISO 9001/2000 standards. In 2003 he moved on to Flextronics International as Director of Operations before being promoted to role of Assistant General Manager of WHIP Enclosure. László Urbányi has held his current position as General Manager at Raba Components Manufacturing Ltd since 2005 and his position as Managing Director at Fehrer Raba Automotive Ltd since 2008. Besides his management task at Raba he is also responsible for setting-up a new German-Hungarian joint venture to support the growth of OEMs in the CEE region.

 

Milan Lecic, President, Croatian Supply Chain Association

Milan has over 10 years of experience in supply chain management in various organization. He started his career in NATO logistics headquarter in Croatia, managing relationships with local customs authorities in the region, ensuring smooth supplies of NATO forces in the Balkan region. Afterwards, he spent over 10 years in pharmaceutical industry, where he gained experience in logistics, production planning, product costing, technology transfer and supply chain management. He had responsibilities in global pharmaceutical organization for Operations Supply Chain in Europe and in the US.

For the last 3 years he moved to the commercial side of the supply chain, also managing new product introductions. For the last year he is with global FMCG company, where he is holding responsibility for supply chain and customs for region Central Europe – South.

Milan is also co-founder and president of Croatian Supply Chain Association.

 

Péter Boncsér, Supply Chain Director, Auchan

 

Péter Boncsér began his professional career in foreign trade and the dairy industry between 1994 and 1995. In 1996 he joined the team of the first Auchan hypermarket in Hungary. He studied for one year the hypermarket-trade in France and worked afterwards for four years in several Hungarian hypermarkets in various managerial positions. In 2001 Péter Boncsér participated in the integration of logistics, afterwards he managed different logistics areas, until to he was promoted to his current position as the Supply Chain Director in 2006.

 

Pascal Männche, Senior Vice President Logistics, DEUTZ AG

 

Pascal Männche graduated in Business Administration at the University of Applied Science in Fulda, Germany in 1999 and started his career in several management functions at ALCAN Singen GmbH, for example as the Head of Logistics for the ALCAN Plant in Neckarsulm, Germany. He was also actively involved in the restructuring of the entire supply chain management and the set-up of the logistics control centre for the AUDI A2. In 2001 Pascal Männche joined the company ZF Friedrichshafen AG as Project Manager, Supply Chain Management where he managed several national and international logistics projects at corporate level. In 2004 he was appointed as the Director of Logistics and Member of the Board at ZF Hungária Kft. in Eger, Hungary. Pascal Männche has held his current position as the Senior Vice President Logistics overlooking global logistics at DEUTZ AG since 2009. Besides his strategic responsibility at corporate level he also runs the operative logistics at the engine production plant in Cologne, Germany.

 

Dr. Péter Lakatos, Member of the Presidency, Hungarian Logistics Association (HLA) & former Head of Logistics Centre, TEVA

 

Dr. Péter Lakatos is a certificated economist and Leader in Military Logistics. Between 1983 and 1997 he worked in different positions at the Military of the Hungarian Home Defence Forces. Between 1997 and 2002 he held several positions at Tesco Global Stores Plc. and started as a Training and Stuffing Director. Later he became the 3PL Manager and was responsible for the non-food distribution and was involved in the introduction of cross-docking under an outsourcing contract. Later he held the position as the Director of the public bonded warehouse of Menlo Worldwide Hungary Ltd. and Managing Director of Den Hartogh Ltd. Between 2006 -2011 Dr. Péter Lakatos was the Vice-President of HLA, issued more than 30 publications and was chairman at several conferences. Until April 2012 Dr. Péter Lakatos was heading the TEVA Logistic Centre at TEVA Hungary Plc. in Hungary. Currently he is active as an Associate Professor at the College of Szolnok, guest speaker and instructor at the Selye János University, the Budapest College of Management and the Budapest College of Communication and Business. In addition, as an expert in logistics he is also an active member of HLA and member of the HLA Presidency.

 

Prof. Dr. Zoltán Szegedi, Director, MSc Programme in Logistics Management, St. István University, Gödöllő

 

Prof. Szegedi is responsible for the Logistics and Supply Chain Management Section at the Faculty of Business Administration (MSc and PhD programs). He is also affiliated with other universities in Germany and in Canada. As Funding Director of a joint WeSt (Webster University – St. Stephen University) MBA Program he has created successful English and Hungarian programs.

Earlier he served as faculty member at Corvinus (Budapest) University of Economic Sciences and at the International Management Center (Central European University).Since 2000 he is President/Co-President of the Logistics Section of the Hungarian Economists’ Association.

His book of “Logisztika-menedzsment” has been taught at 13 Hungarian universities and colleges.His research and consulting work focuses on business processes of Logistics and SCM.

 

Prof. Dr. Zoltán Kovács, Faculty of Economics, Department of Management, University of Pannonia, Veszprém

 

Professor Kovács received his MSc degree in Industrial Engineering in 1980 at University of Veszprém. He is responsible for the Industrial Engineering BSc and Logistics Management MSc programs at University of Pannonia. During his early career he worked in meat industry as head of quality control laboratory, and took part in new product development. Later he was involved in establishing computer centre and information system implementation at a coal mining trust. He scheduled large projects also.

Professor Kovács received his PhD (Candidate of Science) degree in 1991 at Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He also holds a PhD from University of Technology and Economics, Budapest.

He teaches production and service management, logistics and business simulation. He has a regular business simulation game course at University of Technology Darmstadt, Germany. He taught in the USA as a Fulbright scholar and in Germany and Austria during Erasmus stay.  He took part and coordinated training and research and development projects supported by USAID, EU.

Professor Kovacs’ consulting experience includes companies like General Electric, Philips, Plati, Continental Teves, Paks Nuclear Power Plant, Herend Porcelan Manufacture, and Town Nagykanizsa Government.

He established the Centre for Continuing Education at University of Veszprém and was the first dean of Faculty of Economics.
